Free

I just love the word free. It is usually a very positive thing, like when you're discharged from the hospital, that is the best use of the word free.

You can now, download your Mini Guide, by going to the top tab under "Download your Mini", choose the link that most fits you, or heck...download them all.

After you've gone to the link, you'll need to log in using a gmail account. For now, I'm just using Google docs to support the pdfs (I'm not real tech savvy), it will show you the 2 page document, just save it, print it double sided and you now have a treatment tracker for managing your CF care!

Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your questions, comments or suggestions!

Medication Questions?!

I've had some questions in relations to how I use the medication spot on the Mini. So, here is a how to, on how I use it.

First, I organize all my pills into 8 weekly pill containers (I do 4 weeks of pills at a time). I go through my medication list and make my way down the list making sure all the pill are added into the right spots. I put my "AM" Medication & my "Mid Day" medication in the same container, and my "Bedtime" medication in it's own. I keep my "AM & Mid Day Meds" in my purse, since I work full-time out of my home (and since I leave my house at 7am, I eat at work). Once I've gotten some food into me, I take my AM pills, and leave the 2 Mid Day pills in the container to take before I leave work. So, their is no need for 2 separate containers.

Then, my "bedtime" (PM) pills are taken with my nightly routine.

It's pretty simple how I do it. I've found having my medicine in pill boxes/containers is the only way to go, for me. If I don't have them ready to go, they don't get taken.

You don't have to do it my way to use the Mini (of course), just mark off once you've taken all your pills!!

Let me know if it works for you or if you've found a better way! I love hearing other ways of remembering to take your medicine. And I'm always up for changeing things around to improve the Mini for others.

Note: No my pill boxes don't match....but it still does the trick! I laugh because, I'm a little ocd about them, but I keep reminding myself, it doesn't matter. (I also have an obsession with pill boxes and think I've tried just about every kind....do any of you have the same love relationship with them?)
